The Leadership Team

Founder

Chester Damico

Chester gained years of experience in the carpentry industry, where he became a Master Carpenter.

In 1964, he started his own Kitchen & Bath design, sales, & installation firm. Later in 1979 he started making his own cabinets, and soon after he formed the Mountaineer WoodCraft company.

The company grew from a local manufacturer to include a network of dealers in the Pittsburgh area.

In 2002 he retired, but still continues to have a presence in the shop and provide knowledge and expertise, when needed.

His attention to detail and craftsmanship have helped shape the company into what it is today.

President/Owner

Trudy Anderson

Trudy is the daughter of Chester Damico.

Trudy became President of the company in 2002 after her father retired. With her years of experience in the kitchen and bath retail industry, she was able to have a better understanding of what our dealers needed from a cabinet manufacturer.

Keeping up with her father’s values, she continued to build Mountaineer WoodCraft, into a company well known for its reputation of quality cabinetry and person-to-person customer service.

In 2013, she took a step back from the day to day interactions with the dealers and passed on that role to her son, Ty Anderson.

Vice President / Co-Owner

Dan Dean

Joining the Company in 1990, Dan started as an assembly cabinet maker.

Through his work ethic and abilities, he became the lead custom cabinet maker and eventually began managing the department.

He is now the lead Foreman of the shop and oversees all manufacturing.

In conjunction with running the rough mill, assembly, and finishing departments, he became a co-owner in 2002; further helping the company with his extensive experience and knowledge of cabinetry and machinery.

He continues to build many custom items on a daily basis.

Director of Operations / Co-Owner

Ty Anderson

Ty grew up in a family of skilled woodworking craftsmen and interior designers. Over the years he witnessed first-hand how high-quality craftsmanship and good customer service fueled the growth of the family business. Following his grand-father and mother’s lead, he found that customers appreciate quality work and person-to-person customer service

After attending West Virginia University (WVU), where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, he joined the family business. Ty took on minor rolls through the shop to better attain hands on experience with the workers and product.

Today Ty oversees all production operations, and the dealer partner program, with the number one goal of complete customer satisfaction, for both the Dealer and the end customer. He works closely with dealers to help finalize design drawings, provide wood or hardware samples when needed, and to ensure all projects run smoothly and on schedule.

If you are interested in becoming a dealer partner of Mountaineer WoodCraft, Ty is the right person to call. Thank you in advance for your interest in working with  Mountaineer WoodCraft.
